1. Overview
rtoformsindia.com ("we", "us", "this site") is an independently operated tool run by an individual proprietor based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. It is not an official government website. This policy explains what information the site collects when you fill RTO/CMVR forms, use the optional paid "AI auto-fill" feature, or add money to the AI auto-fill wallet.
The short version: filling and downloading forms is completely free and happens entirely inside your own browser — nothing is uploaded. The only things that ever leave your device are (a) your RC (Registration Certificate) photo, if you use the paid AI auto-fill feature, sent for one-time processing and never stored by us, and (b) payment details, which go straight to Razorpay, never to us. Your Aadhaar and PAN photos are never sent anywhere — see Section 2(b) below.
2. Information we collect
a. Form details you type
Name, address, vehicle registration number, engine/chassis number and similar details you type into the form filler are used only inside your browser to generate your PDF. They are never transmitted to any server we control. For your convenience, in-progress values are saved to your own browser's localStorage (on your device only) so an accidental refresh doesn't lose your work — this data never reaches us and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.
b. Documents you upload (RC, and optionally Aadhaar / PAN / photo)
If you choose to use the paid "AI auto-fill" feature, you upload a photo of your RC (Registration Certificate). Only this RC photo is sent anywhere — for one-time text extraction, as described in Section 3 below.
Aadhaar and PAN photos, and the optional face photo, are never sent to us or to Google. These documents carry sensitive personal data — an Aadhaar card in particular is treated as sensitive personal data under India's Aadhaar Act — so we deliberately do not extract or transmit them. If you upload a copy of your Aadhaar, PAN, or a face photo, it is only so you can optionally attach it as an extra page in the PDF you generate; that attachment happens entirely inside your browser and the image never leaves your device. You fill in the Aadhaar/PAN-derived fields yourself — nothing is auto-read from these photos.
c. Payment & wallet information
If you add money to your AI auto-fill wallet, payment is collected and processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. What we do store: a randomly generated wallet ID (not linked to your name), your wallet balance, and — only if you use the "recover my wallet" feature — the mobile number Razorpay's own checkout screen collected during payment, used solely to send a one-time wallet-recovery link.
d. Technical / log data
Cloudflare (which hosts the main site and runs the AI auto-fill backend) may automatically log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and request timestamps, for security and debugging. This is not used to build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party ad trackers or analytics scripts on this site.
3. How Google Gemini is used (AI auto-fill)
Here is exactly what happens, step by step:
- You take or select a photo of your RC in your browser. It stays on your device until you press the "Extract" button.
- On pressing Extract, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our Cloudflare Worker (the AI auto-fill backend).
- The Worker forwards the image directly to Google's Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) with a request to extract specific fields (e.g. owner name, registration number, address, chassis/engine number) as structured data.
- Gemini returns the extracted text to our Worker, which relays it straight back to your browser and immediately discards the image — it is not written to any storage on our side.
- The extracted fields are used to fill in your form, in your browser. The RC photo itself, if you uploaded it in this browser session, stays only in your browser's memory and is cleared when you close or refresh the tab — unless you separately tick "Attach uploaded documents as extra pages in the final PDF", in which case it becomes part of the PDF you download (still generated entirely on your device).
Any Aadhaar, PAN, or face photo you upload skips all of the above entirely — it is never sent to our Worker or to Gemini. It is read directly into your browser's memory and, only if you tick the attach option, embedded as a page in the PDF generated on your own device.
Because your RC image is processed by Google's Gemini API, that processing is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices for the Gemini API. You can read Google's policies at policies.google.com/privacy and the Gemini API's data-handling terms at ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how Google's own systems handle a request once it reaches them, beyond what those terms describe.
Uploading your RC for AI auto-fill is entirely optional — you can fill every form on this site by typing the details yourself, for free, without uploading anything.
4. How we use your information
- To generate the form PDF you asked for (done in your browser — we never see the finished document unless you choose to email/share it yourself).
- To extract fields from a document photo you submit for AI auto-fill, as described above.
- To process wallet top-ups and deduct the ₹5 charge for each successful AI extraction.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose technical problems.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Storage & retention
- Form field values — stored only in your own browser's local storage, under your control, until you clear it.
- RC photo — not retained by us at all; see Section 3.
- Aadhaar/PAN/face photos — never sent to us at all; they never leave your browser (see Section 2(b)/3), so there is nothing on our side to retain.
- Wallet ID and balance — retained until you ask us to delete it (contact details below), or as required to resolve a payment dispute.
6. Third-party service providers
We rely on the following providers to run the site and its paid features. Each processes data under its own terms:
- Google Gemini API — RC text extraction for AI auto-fill (Section 3). Aadhaar and PAN are never sent to this or any other third party.
- Razorpay — payment processing for wallet top-ups. Razorpay collects your payment details directly; we never see your card/UPI credentials.
- Cloudflare — hosts the main website (Pages) and runs the AI auto-fill backend (Worker), plus security/CDN services.
7. Your choices & rights
You can use the free form filler without giving us any information at all. For anything you have given us (wallet ID, balance), you can contact us at any time to ask what we hold or to request deletion — see Section 11. Deleting your wallet ID will also forfeit any remaining unused balance associated with it, so please contact us before clearing your browser storage if you want to preserve access to that balance.
8. Cookies & local storage
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. The site uses your browser's localStorage only to (a) remember in-progress form field values on your device, and (b) remember your wallet ID and AI-fill role preference, so you don't have to re-enter them each visit. None of this is readable by us — it lives only on your device.
9. Children's privacy
This site is a utility for filling government vehicle/licence paperwork and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature or change a service provider. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
